All locations of The Seattle Public Library and the book drops at the Central Library will be closed on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 19.

The Ladies Musical Club Performs Classical Music at The Seattle Public Library in February

Enjoy free concerts by local artists! The Seattle Public Library will host musical performances by the Ladies Musical Club at two locations in February.


West Seattle Branch, 2306 42nd Ave. S.W., 206-684-7444.

This month's concert will feature a Mendelssohn piano trio and songs by 20th century British composers. Performers will include: Ann Rackl, violin; Larry Chu, cello; Selina Chu, piano; Gwen Trussler, mezzo-soprano; Sabine Endrigkeit, recorder; and Johanna Mastenbrook, piano.

This month's concert will feature Mendelssohn's "Piano Trio in D Minor" and Dvoƙák's "Gypsy Songs." Performers will include: Ann Rackl, violin; Larry Chu, cello; Selina Chu, piano; Ya-Li Lee, soprano; and Johanna Mastenbrook, piano.


The Ladies Musical Club is an organization of women with the mission to foster classical music in the community through education, performance and awards.


Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available near the West Seattle Branch. Parking is available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.
