Free Music Classes for Small Children at the High Point Branch in September

Learn how music helps children grow! Babies, toddlers and preschoolers can dance the day away at The Seattle Public Library's series of music and dance classes presented by the award-winning Seattle Baby Jam company from 11:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays, Sept. 9, 16 and 23 at the High Point Branch, 3411 S.W. Raymond St., 206-684-7454.


Library events and programs are free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged, call 206-684-7454 or drop by the branch to sign up. Free parking is available in the branch parking lot.


In this three-part class series, parents and caregivers will make music and dance with their children. There will be hands-on drumming, percussion, multilingual songs, stories and games. The classes are intended to help young children develop brain-based skills, such as language and music abilities.


Classes are open to children ages birth to 5 years and their families. Families are encouraged to attend all three weeks.
