Learn How to Start a Business at The Seattle Public Library Jan. 23
Thinking of going into business for yourself? The Seattle Public Library has a free workshop where you can talk to experienced professionals and get resources to turn your idea into reality. The "Your Business - Start Smart" workshop takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Beacon Hill Branch, 2821 Beacon Ave. S., 206-684-4711.
Library events are free and open to the public. Seating is limited and registration is recommended. Parking is available in the branch parking lot.
Join local experts to learn about starting your own business. You'll hear from the U.S. Small Business Administration, The Seattle Public Library and local business mentors. Key points will include:
- Characteristics and motivations of entrepreneurs
- Initial considerations, steps and planning
- Market research tools
- Financing options
- Local resources for help
