The Seattle Public Library, in partnership with the BetterInvesting Puget Sound Chapter, will host a seminar on how you can gain financial independence and plan for retirement. Learn the basic of investing from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Washington Mutual Foundation Meeting Room 1, 206-386-4636.

Library events and programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $7.
