Over 100,000 books, CDs, DVDs and more will be for sale to the public at bargain prices at the 2020 Friends of The Seattle Public Library's Huge Spring Book Sale.

This popular event, attended by thousands from throughout the region, is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 14 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 15 at Seattle Center, 299 Mercer St., Exhibition Hall – Lower Level, 206-684-7200.

Items for sale will include fiction and nonfiction books for all ages, CDs, DVDs of films and TV series, records, audiobooks and collectible books. Items will sell for $1 to $3. Attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable bag or wheeled suitcase for their purchases.

Member Preview Sale

A special preview sale for Friends members will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 13, where members of the Friends may purchase up to 35 items. During the preview sale, no scanners, cell phones or any other electronic devices used to seek information about sale items will be allowed. New memberships are $25 (plus $1 bank fee for online orders) if purchased by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 12, and $40 at the door. Memberships may be purchased online, by mail or in person at the FriendShop at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave.
