Entrepreneurs who are interested in starting a food industry business can meet face-to-face with the representatives of government agencies that process and issue permits, licenses and other food specific resources at a "Food Business Roadshow" business fair from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 2 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Washington Mutual Foundation Meeting Room 1, 206-386-4636 .

Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is recommended, but not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.

Business owners and entrepreneurs are encouraged to bring their food industry questions to this business fair. Government agency representatives will explain requirements and regulations for a food business, give tips on selecting a location and make other resources available for established or new food businesses.

Agencies and service providers will include: Public Health-Seattle & King County, Seattle Department of Transportation, Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections, Seattle Finance and Administrative Services, Seattle Neighborhood Farmers Markets, Seattle Public Utilities, Washington State Department of Agriculture, Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, Ventures Nonprofit and more.
