The Seattle Public Library will host concerts, musical preview lectures and dramatic performances at several locations throughout the city in February.

Ladies Musical Club3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 at the West Seattle Branch, 2306 42nd Ave. S.W., 206-684-7444. Join us for a concert featuring operatic masterpieces by Mozart. Featured performers will include Meg Daly, Ya-Li Lee and Emily Riesser, sopranos; Jesse Nordstrom (guest artist), tenor; Darrell J. Jordan (guest artist), baritone; Joan Lundquist, piano; and Regina Thomas, stage direction and commentary.

Ladies Musical Club – Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditoritum, 206-386-4636. Join us for a concert featuring Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 7 and songs by Rachmaninoff. Featured performers will include Selina Chu and Johanna Mastenbrook, piano; Ann Rackl, violin; and Dora Barnes, soprano.

Seattle Opera Preview: The [R]evolution of Steve Jobs6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the Northeast Branch, 6801 35th Ave. N.E., 206-684-7539.  Join Theodore Deacon for an entertaining preview lecture about this West Coast debut of the opera on Apple's co-founder. Campbell's compelling libretto interweaves universal themes of communication and connection. Bates' lyrical and rhythmic score dazzles with a mix of traditional and electronic instrumentation.

With a Song in My Heart / "С песней в сердце!"2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditoritum, 206-386-4636. Musical group Marianna and Friends presents original songs written by Anna Vasilevskaya, as well as translated covers. Enjoy music from a variety of styles and genres, and learn how the songs are born in our hearts!
