The Seattle Public Library offers drop-in help at four Library locations for people who are experiencing homelessness or living on low incomes.

Community Resource Specialist Drop-In Hours: Are you looking for housing, shelter, or other resources? Stop by during drop-in hours to get personalized assistance in finding shelter, getting an ID, food and meals, health care, and other community resources.

Enhanced Outreach to Veterans of Color: 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, Jan. 8 & 22 at the Ballard Branch, 5614 22nd Ave. N.W., 206-684-4089. A veteran outreach specialist will connect veterans to agencies, the VA system and other veteran supportive services. Services provided include:

  • VA pension & disability compensation
  • military sexual trauma counseling
  • crisis & PTSO advocacy
  • vocational rehabilitation
  • VA home loan resources
  • LGBTQ benefits
  • mental health resources
  • survivors & dependents benefits
  • housing assistance
  • employment/job readiness
  • access to medical care

REACH Caseworker Drop-In Hours - 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday, Jan. 8 through March 25 at the International District/Chinatown Branch, 713 Eighth Ave. S., 206-386-1300. These events are presented in partnership with Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC), El Centro de la Raza's Veterans program and Evergreen Treatment Services' REACH program.
