Film Screening: 'Won't You Be My Neighbor' at The Seattle Public Library Nov. 5

The Seattle Public Library, in partnership with SIFF and the Apex Foundation, are pleased to present a screening of the acclaimed Mr. Rogers documentary "Won’t You Be My Neighbor" from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636. Stay after the film for a Q&A with Nicholas Ma, the film's producer.
Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $7 after 5 p.m.
"Won't You Be My Neighbor," directed by Academy Award winner Morgan Neville, presents the heartwarming life of Fred Rogers, whose cherished PBS series used cardigans, puppets and the Neighborhood of Make-Believe to imaginatively and compassionately inspire children, while not shying away from complicated issues.
Ma is a writer, director, producer and consultant based in New York City. He is currently working on a documentary series on diplomacy. Previously, he worked for then-Senator John Kerry, overseeing his global economic portfolio on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
