Story Times, Cooking Demos, Music and More From The Seattle Public Library at Farmers Markets in July

The Seattle Public Library will host programs at several farmers markets throughout the city in July. The programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
SCHEDULE
Children's Story Time - Bring your children to enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and fun.
- 3:30 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, July 5 and 26 at the Lake City Farmers Market, Northeast 125th Street and 28th Avenue Northeast.
- 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays, July 5 and 19 at the Lake City Farmers Market, Northeast 125th Street and 28th Avenue Northeast.
Bookmobile - Visit the bookmobile, where you can get a Library card, check out books and movies, and do fun activities.
- 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays, July 5, 12, 19 and 26 at the Lake City Farmers Market, Northeast 125th Street and 28th Avenue Northeast.
Music of Latin America - Join Lake City Future First and the Lake City Branch for Latin American music performed by Spanish language story teller and musician, Marco Cortes.
- 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5 at the Lake City Farmers Market, Northeast 125th Street and 28th Avenue Northeast.
Cook Local Vegetables - Local author Kim O'Donnel demonstrates a recipe from her cookbook, "PNW Veg: 100 Vegetable Recipes Inspired by the Local Bounty of the Pacific Northwest."
- 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 7 at the Magnolia Farmers Market, West McGraw Street and 33rd Avenue West.
- 10:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, July 8 at the West Seattle Farmers Market, California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Alaska Street.
Learn How to Make Kimchi - Instructor Ellie Cohan will demonstrate how to make kimchi at the Lake City Farmers Market. Kimchi is a Korean side dish made of spicy and fermented vegetables.
- 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at the Lake City Farmers Market, Northeast 125th Street and 28th Avenue Northeast.
Lake City String Quartet - Join Lake City Future First and the Lake City Branch for a performance of the Lake City String Quartet.
- 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 19 at the Lake City Farmers Market, Northeast 125th Street and 28th Avenue Northeast.
ASL Story Time - Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and fun with our American Sign Language (ASL) storyteller.
- 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at the Lake City Farmers Market, Northeast 125th Street and 28th Avenue Northeast.
