Entrepreneurs who want to start a small food business in their own kitchen are invited to participate in a six-week workshop from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. every Monday, Feb. 27 through April 3 at the Lake City Branch, 12501 28th Ave. N.E., 206-684-7518.

Library events are free and open to the public. Online registration is required. Free parking is available in the branch parking lot.

At the workshop, participants will learn about:

  • rules and regulation
  • marketing
  • keeping records
  • financing
  • packaging
  • required labels

After completing the workshop series, individuals who qualify will be able to take advantage of free, one-on-one business consulting with a Center for Inclusive Entrepreneurship business advisor.
