The Ladies Musical Club Performs Classical Music at the Seattle Public Library in April

Enjoy free concerts by local artists! The Seattle Public Library will host musical performances by the Ladies Musical Club at two locations in April.

This month's concert will feature songs by Janet Anderson and vocal works from twentieth century American opera. Performers will include: Katie Hochman, Amber Rose Johnson, Clarice Warrick, Emily Riesser and Molly Tomlinson, sopranos; Katie Stevenson, mezzo-soprano; and Janet Anderson and Joan Lundquist, piano.

This month's concert will celebrate National Poetry Month with works by local women composers featuring poetry by local women authors. Performers will include: Hilary Field, guitar; Jill Carlsen, recorder and reading; Tiina Ritalahti, soprano; Dawn Padula, mezzo-soprano; Kathryn Zufall, violin; and Janet Anderson and Joan Lundquist, piano.

The Ladies Musical Club is an organization of women with the mission to foster classical music in the community through education, performance and awards.

Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available near the West Seattle Branch. Parking is available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.
