The Seattle Public Library will be at events throughout the city to celebrate Pride and bring Library services to the community in June and July. See below for the current schedule:     

LGBTQ Rainbow Family Story Times
Bring your children to a story time celebration of LGBTQ families.

10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, June 19 at the Capitol Hill Branch, 425 Harvard Ave. E., 206-684-4715 .

Bookish Happy Hour: Pride Edition
Have a drink and talk with new friends about what you are reading, what you like to read, what authors inspire you and what kind of book you'd like to read next. Don't forget your I.D. as this is an event for ages 21 and up.

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 19 at Wildrose, 1021 E. Pike St. 

History Café: Queer Resistance and Activism in Seattle
Join Historian Kevin McKenna for an exploration of local LGBTQ activism history, as well as lessons the past might have for present and future activist work.

6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at the Museum of History and Industry, 860 Terry Ave N.  

The Library at Trans Pride
Staff from The Seattle Public Library will be at the Trans Pride resource fair at Cal Anderson Park in Capitol Hill. Stop by the Library's booth at Trans Pride to learn more about how the Library serves Seattle's LGBTQ communities! Staff will be signing up visitors for Library cards, checking out LGBTQ books, handing out LGBTQ-focused booklists, and talking about various resources the Library provides.

6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 23 at Cal Anderson Park, 1635 11th Ave.

The Library at PrideFest Family Day and Queer Youth Pride
Come by the Library's booth at the PrideFest Family Day and Queer Youth Pride events to learn more about how the Library serves Seattle's LGBTQ youth and families! Staff will be signing up visitors for Library cards, checking out LGBTQ books, handing out LGBTQ-focused booklists, providing interactive activities and talking about various resources the Library provides.

2017 Seattle Pride Parade
Join us during Seattle's Pride weekend as the Library marches with the city of Seattle during the 43rd annual Seattle Pride Parade in celebration with Seattle's LGBTQ communities.

11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25 along Fourth Avenue, beginning at Union St.
 
"Oh, I Get It": Film Screening
Join us for a screening of "Oh, I Get It," a short documentary film exposing the challenges queer comedians face in the world of stand-up comedy. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Danny Tayara, writer Ijeoma Oluo and comedian El Sanchez.

Mermaid Tales: Drag Queen Story Time with Sparkle Leigh
Celebrate our diverse families of birth and choice with stories, songs, dancing and glitter, hosted by legendary drag performer Sparkle Leigh! Stay after for a chance to meet Sparkle and have a photo taken with her dressed as a mermaid. For all ages.
