Writers Read
A monthly open mic with selected author readings on the second Sunday of each month, presented in partnership with African-American Writers' Alliance.

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Columbia Branch, 4721 Rainier Ave. S., 206-386-1908.

Evening of Poetry
A quarterly reading with fresh voices from the local poetry scene, presented in partnership with Floating Bridge Press. This month's readings will feature Thomas Walton, Armin Tolentino, Elizabeth Vignali and Kami Westhoff.

It's About Time Writers' Reading Series
A monthly series featuring author readings and open mics. The 336th meeting features readings from members of the Cake Quartet: Esther Altshul Helfgott, Trish McKenney Honig and Ann Batchelor Hursey. Loreen Lee will give a short lecture on the writer's craft.

A monthly open mic that takes place on the second Saturday of each month, featuring readings of poetry and prose. This month's featured poets are TBA.

John Freeman and Natalie Diaz
Listen to poetry readings from John Freeman, literary editor and poet, and Natalie Diaz, Mojave poet and former professional athlete, alongside a discussion of inequality and invisibility.

Poetry 'Potluck'
An informal monthly gathering for listening to and reading poetry aloud. Attendees should bring a few favorite poems. This is a feast of poetry, not a food event.
