The Ready to Work program is for Seattle residents who are low income and want to learn English, learn computer skills or get a job. The program helps people with very limited English (ESOL levels 1-3) work towards economic self-sufficiency.

Ready to Work classes take place four days a week. They combine English language learning with job placement services and ongoing work skills training. Here's what you'll learn in class:

  • Exploring different careers
  • Job-hunting skills
  • Communicating at work
  • Planning next steps in work and education

This program is presented in partnership with the city of Seattle, HomeSight, Asian Counseling and Referral Service, Seattle Colleges and Literacy Source. Our goal is to empower and support immigrants, refugees and others to overcome barriers to reach milestones on their difficult journey to economic stability, quality jobs and integration into life in Seattle.
