The Seattle Public Library Hosts Preview Concerts Of Seattle Opera's 'La Traviata' Beginning Jan. 4

The Seattle Public Library will host preview concerts of Seattle Opera's upcoming production of Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata" at three locations in January.
Library events and programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
"La Traviata" is a passionate portrait of a worldly courtesan forced by bourgeois society to give up the man of her dreams. The opera enthralls with a wide range of moods packed into a tautly-constructed story, with a musical score that elevates a timeless tale of moral hypocrisy and selfless sacrifice.

Featuring professional singers and an accompanist, these hour-long presentations will take you on a journey through the story and music of the opera. Times and locations are listed below.
