Seattle Writes: 'Poetry of Place' Class at The Seattle Public Library April 22

Join award-winning poet Laura Da' for a poetry writing workshop from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Washington Mutual Foundation Meeting Room 1, 206-386-4636.
Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library's parking garage for $7.
Take your poetry to the next level by examining and experimenting with how you evoke nature in your work. Da' will show you how look at land and waterways as a source of poetic inspiration.
Da’ is a poet and a public school teacher. A lifetime resident of the Pacific Northwest, Da’ studied creative writing at the University of Washington and The Institute of American Indian Arts. Her poetry collection "Tributaries" won the 2016 American Book Award and was a finalist for the Washington State Book Award.
