The Seattle Public Library offers free credit workshops with live interpretation in Spanish

Want to improve your credit and learn how to understand a credit report? Join The Seattle Public Library for three free virtual workshops with Tierra Bonds, CEO of Take Charge Credit Consulting, who will share her expertise on how to improve your credit, understand your credit score and take simple steps to work around unfair credit practices to build your credit.
The workshops will be live interpreted in Spanish. Although they are intended as a series, you can sign up for any of them individually with no prerequisites or requirements.
- Personal Credit 101 – Virtual Workshop: From noon to 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15. Do you want to learn how to improve your personal credit? Learn how to establish credit, why it’s important, how to check your credit and more.
- Personal Credit 102 – Virtual Workshop: From noon to 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 22. In this second workshop we will talk about credit scores, credit reports, how to clean up your credit and more.
- The Game Plan to Good Credit – Virtual Workshop: From noon to 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29. In this third workshop we’ll discuss how to repair your credit, build or rebuild your credit and more.
A limited number of one-on-one personal credit consultations with Tierra Bonds will be available to webinar participants.
The Seattle Public Library’s Business Services program is offering two other business workshops that will be live interpreted in non-English languages, including:
- Thinking With Data - Virtual Workshop: From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17. Join digital strategist Michael J. Coffey of Ardea Coaching to learn about simple ways to use data to understand your organization more deeply, see changing trends, or avoid problems before they get out of hand. It doesn't have to be scary! This program will be live interpreted in Spanish and Vietnamese.
- Virtual Business Resource Open House - Creative Finance: From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10. What are the different ways that people finance businesses and what are barriers people face in accessing funding? Members of the Muslim Community Finance Coalition will speak on what the group has learned over the past five years in its efforts to better understand the needs of Muslim-owned businesses. This program will be live interpreted in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Somali and Amharic.
