VR Film Screening: 'Home With América' At The Seattle Public Library April 7

The Seattle Public Library co-presents a screening of the upcoming interactive, room-scale virtual reality (VR) documentary "Home with América" by the Family Reunions Project (FRP) from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636. Stay after the film for a Q&A panel discussion on intersectionality and VR.
Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $8.

Virtual reality is not just for video game entertainment anymore, it can be used to bring awareness to the narrative surrounding important social issues that can impact our global community. FRP is an initiative creating VR experiences to connect undocumented immigrants to the families, hometowns, and home cultures they can’t physically return to.
