Author James Osborne Discusses Memoir at The Seattle Public Library April 18

Local writer James Osborne will discuss "Will Your Way Back," the story of his nine-year journey to walk again after a spinal cord injury, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636 .
Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $6 after 5 p.m.
In 2007, Osborne suffered a spinal cord injury in a road cycling accident that rendered him quadriplegic. Though doctors said he would likely never walk again, Osborne has been fighting to recover his body ever since. In pursuit of a "new normal," he has struggled professionally, physically, emotionally and spiritually to overcome his disability and persevere. Osborne's memoir, "Will Your Way Back," chronicles his journey to walk again and live independently.
Osborne received his bachelor's degree in health care administration from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. After meeting his wife, they moved from New York City to Seattle in 1981. Osborne has worked in IT management in health care, real estate investment and property management, retail, higher education and at an Internet startup.
