Break out the purple and gold, and get ready to make some noise! The Seattle Public Library’s Central Library (1000 Fourth Ave., Seattle) will host a FREE watch party for the College Football National Championship on Monday, Jan. 8 in the Level 1 Microsoft Auditorium. The official game broadcast begins at 4:30 p.m. PST, and kickoff is at 4:45 p.m. PST, with doors to the auditorium opening at 4 p.m.

The historic game, featuring the Washington Huskies battling the Michigan Wolverines for the national title, will be streamed at the Library on ESPN, through Xfinity.
Library events are free and everyone is welcome. No tickets are required. The auditorium can accommodate about 265 people.

Although the Central Library closes at 6 p.m. on Monday, people in the auditorium will be allowed to stay until the game concludes. The parking garage is also open until 8 p.m. The rest of the Library will close at 6 p.m.

“Games like this unite our community,” said Chief Librarian Tom Fay. “We are delighted that we can offer the Library as a free gathering space to watch this thrilling game together. See you at kickoff, and Go Dawgs!"
